August 17, 2013, Saturday, 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., Yard Sale at 1901 Stratford Road, Delaware, OH. This is a Fund Raiser to raise funds to assist a young woman (or women) who attend the Bee Wise Math/Science camp sponsored by AAUW from Delaware, OH.

September 9, 2013, Monday, 7:00 p.m. People of the Andes-Travel Learning Experience Travelogue in Audio Visual Room 27 of the Beeghly Library on the Ohio Wesleyan campus, presented by OWU students who visited South America this summer and their instructor Connie Richards. Refreshments will be served. A business meeting will follow the presentation.

*October 16, 2013, Wednesday, 6:45 p.m. Candidates Night at the Delaware Area Career Center–North, 1610 State Route 521, Delaware. A forum for the candidates running for Delaware City Council, and the school boards of Buckeye Valley and Delaware City schools in the November Election. This is co-sponsored with the League of Women Voters, Delaware County and the Farm Bureau.

*October 19, 2013, Saturday, 8:45 a.m. — 6 p.m. , Join the Worthington Branch for a field trip to Blue Rock Station, 1190 Virginia Ridge Rd, Philo, OH 43771, Ohio’s first “Earth Ship”, practicing sustainable living.

*October 23, 2013, Wednesday, 6:30 p.m. Candidates Night at The Delaware County Bank headquarters, 110 Riverbend Ave., Powell. A forum for the candidates running for Powell City Council, and Liberty and Orange Township Trustee positions, and Olentangy School Board in the November 5 election. Joint meeting with the Worthington Branch. $5.00 per adult and $1.00 per student. Bring art supplies to give for use in school projects (paints, scissors, paper, crayons, etc. )

April 14, 2014, Monday, 7:00 p.m., Delaware Community Center YMCA, 1121 S. Houk Rd, Delaware, OH, Forum on the Common Core Curriculum for grades K-12. This will be a panel, presented jointly with the Delaware County League of Women Voters. Panel members are our elected state School Board member—Michael Collins, and president of the Ohio Federation of Teachers—Melissa Cropper, along with Sue Grodek from the Ohio PTA State Standards Committee. They will explain what the Common Core Initiative means for our students, and answer questions from the audience. Parents, teachers, and the public at large are encouraged to attend and bring their questions.
